Riverwalk Landing Hosts Airwaves Concert Series in Yorktown

The Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown will present the “Airwaves” Concert Series on Tuesday evenings throughout the month of August. The USAF Heritage of America Band will be performing. Guests can bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the sounds while overlooking the York River.

The USAF Heritage of America Band hails from Langley Air Force Base. They will present a different line-up of musical entertainment August 3 through August 24. Concerts will begin at 6:30pm.

The concert series is free and open to the public.

Yorktown is located approximately 20 minutes from historic Williamsburg.

NASA Exploration Days (August 13-14)
Now you can get space training for the little ones during the park's NASA Exploration Days on August 13-14 (free with admission!). Experts from NASA's Langley Research Center will give kids astronaut training, including info on what it's like to live and work on the Space Shuttle.


Wild Days (August 27-28)
See a variety of wild animals-- wolves, eagles, and more-- up close and personal and introduced by Bush Gardens Williamsburg animal professionals.

Labor Day Weekend Concert (Sept 4-5)
Celebrate the end of summer with a concert by Peter Noone, of Herman's Hermits fame. Known for songs including "Something Tells Me I'm Into Something Good," Hermans Hermits sold 50 million records nationwide, so say good bye to summer with this blast from the past.

Discover America's Past in Williamsburg Viriginia

Williamsburg is a quaint town filled with history. Some of the top attractions in this eastern Virginia town explore the roots of our nation. Jamestown Settlement traces the history of Jamestown, though an exceptional gallery and exhibits, and life-size recreations of a Powhatan Indian Village, James Fort and three ships built to replicate the ships settlers arrived on. Docked along the coast, the ships – Godspeed, Susan Constant and Discovery - allow visitors to climb aboard and see what travelers may have felt like on their incredible journey. There is a lot to explore at Jamestown Settlement, so be sure to allot a couple of hours for your visit.

Yorktown is home to the Yorktown Victory Center, which pays tribute to the Revolutionary era. There is a living history Continental Army encampment, as well as a recreated 1780’s farm.
