February Events at Colonial Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg presents several events this February.
The historic Williamsburg attraction invites guests to share their love of history with someone special on Valentine’s Day, February 14th. Special performances are planned as are special menus at the areas 18th Century and 21st century dining options.
February 18 & 19 Colonial Williamsburg explores the roots of the Civil War with a special event called Storm on the Horizon: Slavery, Disunion, and the Roots of the Civil War. There are several guest speakers planned, including Pulitzer Prize–winner Gordon S. Wood and Alan Brinkley, Allan Nevins Professor of American History at Columbia University. Luncheons, music and other symposiums will also take place during the two day event.
Presidents Day is Monday, February 21, and since three of the earlier presidents of the United States spent time in Williamsburg before being elected, Washington, Jefferson ad Madison will appear at Colonial Williamsburg during the weekend and discuss their contributions to history.
The entire month of February Colonial Williamsburg celebrates Black History Month with a series of programs that explore the 18th century perspective of African Americans.
