Water Country USA Williamsburg to Debut Vanish Point this Summer

Williamsburg Theme Parks are a popular way to spend the day in eastern Virginia. Home to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA, this historic vacation destination provides plenty of thrills, spills and entertainment to visitors. For the 2011 season, they are promising even more fun as both parks are introducing new elements for guests to enjoy.
At Busch Gardens, a new drop tower ride dubbed Mach Tower wwill open this spring. Guests board the ride, which offers 30 seats around a central column, and then they ascend the tower, enjoying scenic views of the James River and eastern Virginia as they escalate. Then, the ride drops straight down at 60 mph! Busch Gardens Williamsburg is also revamping its Oktoberfest Village.
Water Country USA is opening for the summer season on May 21. In conjunction with their grand opening for 2011 they will also be unveiling Vanish Point, an epic new drop slide attraction inspired by the point on a wave where water and gravity form a perfect partnership. The crest of the 75-foot tower gives guests two ways to drop out of sight. You can step into a skybox where you drop down when the floor drops out from under you, or you can vanish horizontally on a 300-foot speed slide that drops you straight down. Either option will have you feeling an adrenaline rush unlike any other ride at Water Country USA Williamsburg.
Reserve your Williamsburg vacation today to experience all of the fun at these exciting theme parks.
