Music Festivals Featured in Williamsburg this September

Williamsburg is hosting two music festivals during September, each of which provides a unique way to experience this historic destination.

The Colonial Williamsburg Early Music Festival is scheduled for September 26 – September 30, 2011. Each day the festival will have concerts featuring various instruments prevalent in colonial Virginia. The Hennage Auditorium at the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum will host afternoon demonstrations, while evening concerts in historic area buildings and folk music performances in colonial taverns will showcase the musicians of Colonial Williamsburg. Special guest performers are also planned.

Music Under the Stars will take place on September 30, 2011 at 7pm. The Williamsburg Symphonia in collaboration with An Occasion for the Arts presents the 4th annual event, which feature Steve Lippia in Simply Sinatra. Doors open at 5:30pm with Holly Hunt and Limelight performing from 6:00pm to 6:45pm, and The Symphonia concert begins at 7:15pm.
