Things to Do in Williamsburg this August
Williamsburg has several fun things to do in August.The Williamsburg Farmers Market continues through August each Saturday from 8am – Noon. Movies on Prince George Street take place Sunday evenings at 7pm. Bring a chair and some snacks and enjoy a movie during balmy summer nights.
The Summer Breeze Concert Series is a free event in Williamsburg. The United States Air Force sends its Rhythm In Blue Jazz Ensemble, Heritage Ramblers, Blue Aces, and Heritage Of America Concert Band to provide the entertainment on successive Wednesdays in August. Concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. at Merchants Square
Yorktown, which is just a short drive from Williamsburg, is hosting Shagging on the Riverwalk on Thursdays in August, from 6:30pm-9:30pm. LP and Company are set to perform on August 4 and The Original Rhondels will perform on August 11. The Yorktown Airwaves Concert Series is held each Tuesday in August, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Different musicians perform each week from Langley Air Force Base. Yorktown Market Days also take place every Saturday, 8am-12pm.
