Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg Open Daily through December 31

Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is now open daily.  The annual holiday festival will be open daily, now through December 31, excluding Christmas day.  The celebration features five million twinkling lights, wonderfully entertaining shows, delicious treats and unique holiday shopping.

The world’s most beautiful theme park transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with five million twinkling lights, dazzling shows, delectable foods and beautiful sights and sounds that create the perfect holiday atmosphere. This year also features a new walk-through attraction as well as a new show – Gloria! – that reveals the true meaning of Christmas. Fan favorites that return to Christmas Town include Busch Gardens’ 50-foot-tall, light-dancing Christmas tree; Santa’s Workshop featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus; and Mistletoe Marketplace, a traditional outdoor German market featuring artisan-made crafts and gifts for everyone in the family.


Busch Gardens Christmas Town in Williamsburg, Virginia has operating hours from 3pm - 10 p.m. each day, closing at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Some sections of the park will remain closed for the season, and some rides and attractions are weather dependent.

New Year's Eve Festivities in Williamsburg, VA are Family-Friendly Fun

Ring in the New Year in Williamsburg, Virginia to enjoy family-friendly festivities, delicious food and a grand fireworks display at midnight.

This is the 19th annual year for First Night, which touts itself as alcohol free and kid-friendly.  Festivities will begin around 5pm on December 31sst, although a special kid’s show is planned at 3pm at Matthew Whaley Elementary.  Fireworks will cap off the kids show, behind the school, at 7pm.  As far as the other First Night festivities, main stage performances will begin at 6pm.  All venues are indoors, and performers include musicians and specialty acts. 
New entertainment for this year’s event includes the “Main Event Shag Band,” which is especially great for those who love to dance. 

A rock concert will be featured at the Williamsburg Community Building from 8-11pm.
Free buses, for those with paid admission, will be available throughout the Williamsburg area from 5pm to 12:30am.  Admissions for First Night are $15 and kids 5 and under are free. 

The Grand Finale Fireworks will begin at 11:30pm at Zable Stadium at the College of William and Mary, with fireworks set to display at midnight.
