Busch Gardens Williamsburg Launches New Verbolten Coaster this Spring

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is launching an all new world-class coaster experience in Spring 2012. The multi-launch coaster, named Verbolten, will take riders on a high spend drive along the German autobahn before detouring through the Black Forest. The ride will be located in the re-envisioned Oktoberfest section of the park.

The Verbolten name is a play on verboten, German for forbidden.

Verbolten will feature two launch zones and an indoor section of the ride will have special effects. The ride will last approximately 3 ½ minutes and will travel along a 2,800-foot long track featuring twists and turns in the forbidden forest. The top speed of the coaster is 55mph.

Taking a cue from its autobahn theme, riders will travel in a sports car-themed coaster tram, which will depart from a Bavarian-designed station. Verbolten utilizes electromagnetic technology to propel riders through a high-speed thrill packed with twists, turns and plunges. The highlight of the ride is an 88-foot drop from a dilapidated looking covered bridge that sends riders plunging towards the river below.

The only way to experience this all-new thrill is to purchase Busch Gardens tickets. Get yours today to enjoy a day at the Virginia Theme Park.
