Williamsburg Presents An Occasion for the Arts this October
Join Williamsburg for the 44th annual event An Occasion for the Arts. Scheduled for October 6
and 7, 2012, An Occasion for the Arts features over 170 visual artists who were
specially selected for the Williamsburg event.
The show includes painters, print makers, sculptors,
jewelers, photographers and other artisans of fine crafts.
Music, dance, vocal performances and more at three venues
promise entertainment for all ages and tastes. Plenty of food and drink
will also be available nearby.
Enjoy these free performances at:
- The Courtyard Stage between Merchants Square and Prince George Street
- The Kimball Theater in Merchants Square
- The City Square Stage – in front of the Youth Art Exhibit at the Community Building.
Each year, on Sunday morning at 10:00 am the Colonial
Williamsburg Fifes and Drum Corps, the Musical Ambassadors of Colonial Williamsburg, march down North Boundary Street from the City Square to
Merchants Square where they pause to perform for our visitors.
